Ahh yes, we have officially reached the point in winter where snow is no longer an exciting delight, but instead has turned into a daily nuisance.
I’m not going to lie, I do still love the snow, but I no longer wish to drive in it. That being said, part of the reason I still love the snow is that Blair gets so excited with every fresh snowfall. She sticks her face right in and loves to just run around in it. Also, this picture was taken the night of the Snow Moon, which feels especially apropos.
I took Blair snowshoeing and it was soo cute watching her bounce in the snow following my tracks. She also loves to run up and down the snowdrifts, which is a great game because she burns off energy and I can just stand there (when you have a dog that doesn’t play fetch, this feels like a huge victory)!
I hope everyone is following Blair’s lead and making the most of your winter. Enjoy and appreciate the magic of the season don’t just wish it away! I know I will long for these days come August when the temperature is 85 degrees and the humidity %1,000. So remember to get outside, have some fun and then head inside for a nice cup of tea (or hot chocolate or coffee, you pick!).
Enjoy the fresh winter air!
