I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend. While I am optimistic that the weather will warm up again and we will have a few more proper summer days, the start of September always marks a transitional period in the year.
I personally feel it is still a bit too early to embrace all things pumpkin spice however, I do think it is appropriate to acknowledge that there is a feeling of change in the air. The days may still be tepid, yet the evenings are cooler for certain. For me this change in temperature signals a time to switch out the candles in my home.
The three candles pictured above are the scents that will be carrying me through this month until we cross over into the true autumn season. This Buttercream City Vanilla candle is one of my favorite vanilla scented candles and is just perfect to tide us over from season to season. This LAFCO “Foyer” scented candle is perhaps one of my favorite scents of all time and is the loveliest combination of Vanilla and Amber (LAFCO candles also have an incredible ability to fill a room with scent). Finally to wrap up the collection, the Fredagsmys candle from Svensko is a refreshing blend of Sage and Tangerine that is perfect for warm days and cooler evenings ahead.
How do you mark the change in seasons?
