Word on the street is that Chicago could be getting an inch of snow tonight!
So it is time I share my winter saviors. The colder temperatures and early sunsets certainly spark an urge within me to hibernate. That being said I have learned that for my own mental and physical well being I need to stay active. Going out in the cold and snow doesn’t have to be miserable you just need to be prepared. I personally find that having a super warm jacket, impenetrable gloves and the best boots available, make life a heck of a lot more enjoyable.
Sorel boots have been my favorites for years because they really are the best. Never have I encountered warmer boots that actually live up to their waterproof promise. When I saw the boots pictured above my first thought was “those are awesome!” followed by, “or are they hideous?” It was confusing. However, I knew right away I had to try them on to figure out where my stance would actually fall. Upon putting these boots on my feet, I knew regardless of how they look would be coming home with me. For starters they are super easy to get on (a winter boot must), they feel like butter, and they are definitely a walking boot (not all winter boots are). I also think the treads will really help with traction (tomorrow will tell) and they are waterproof which is a necessity. Oh, and I almost forgot the best part… they are currently on sale at Bloomingdales!
Winter is coming, and I am feeling pleasantly prepared!
