Don’t get me wrong; I love a good spa day. In fact, next to a proper afternoon tea it might be my very favorite way to unwind. However, I also live in reality where spa days are few and far between and most days getting even thirty minutes to relax is a treat.
However, just because we all lead busy lives and the spa isn’t always in the budget monetarily or time wise, that doesn’t mean you can’t reap some of the same benefits of a spa, from the comfort of your own home. In fact, the at home treatment options these days are pretty incredible. Gone are the days of peel off at home masks from Walgreens, there are some pretty incredible (and all natural!) options on the market these days. The mask pictured above was picked up while grocery shopping at Whole Foods (also available and Target and on Amazon) and only cost $4.99. I haven’t tried this particular mask yet, but used this Instant Brighten and Tighten mask last week from the same brand, and was so thrilled with the results I wanted to try another product in the line.
To create a “spa like” atmosphere, I light some candles, play some soothing music (ok, I’ll be honest, these days it is the Moana soundtrack on repeat) and then I lay down on my couch for 20 minutes. It is glorious. The fact that I don’t have to leave my home only makes the whole process that much more enjoyable (and let’s be honest, achievable on a regular basis).
What are your favorite at home “spa” treatments? Any awesome products I should be checking out??
