My favorite nail colors for summer are clean neutrals. They are also my favorite colors for at home manicures (lighter colors are so much more forgiving for the non-professional nail painter).
The three colors pictured above by Essie are my summer go to’s and have been tried and true staples in my nail wardrobe. Although they all look fairly similar in the picture above there are actually some differences between the three when applied on the nail.
Ballet Slippers (middle) is the most sheer of the three. It has pink undertones but the overall look is a slightly milky cleaned up nail. I have worn this color since high school and I still love the overall effect.
Between the Seats (right) is the most opaque of the three. It also has grey undertones, but comes across as a nude on the nail and creates an overall polished look (excuse the pun). When you wear this nail color you feel like the kind of woman who just has her life together and keeps it all together effortlessly (ha!)
Marshmallow (left) while it is hard to tell in the picture this is a semi opaque white. I love white nails in the summer. I especially love Marshmallow for 4th of July festivities as an alternative to the traditional red manicure.
Summer nails made easy!
