Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!! It is officially summer entertaining season!
Confession, I was first drawn to these two books because of their adorable covers. My initial thought was that they would make a cute addition to a spring/summer display on my coffee table, as shown in yesterday’s post. However, once I got the books home, opened them up and started reading them, I realized that not only are these books aesthetically pleasing they both hold some very useful knowledge that will greatly bolster my summer entertaining .
Rosé is my summer drink of choice and Rosé All Day by Katherine Cole offers a very informative guide on the wine that breaks down “the wine of summer” by region and taste profile. The book also ranks wines by price value and offers pairing suggestions. This is going to come in handy when hosting summer rosé evenings and I will have all the knowledge needed behind each wine to create the perfect wine and food pairings. I can’t wait!
Spritz by Talia Baiocchi and Leslie Pariseau on the other hand is an amazing cocktail recipe book that specializes in, you guessed it, the spritz. The Aperol spritz is one of my favorite warm weather drinks and I am super excited to try out the other recipes included in this book. I can already imagine the perfect summer evenings sitting on a rooftop enjoying a delicious spritz cocktail.
Memorial Day weekend is the official kick off for outdoor entertaining season, so let’s make the most of it! Hopefully a delicious spritz or glass of rosé is in your weekend plans! Have fun and be safe and we will see you back here on Tuesday!
