Life can be stressful, and the reality is certain times of our lives are more stressful than others.
If you are currently feeling the effects of stress in your life, you are not alone. Everyone has to deal with some form of stress or another in his/her life and and everyone has his or her own way of dealing of with that stress. Some people will tell you that you just need to practice more yoga and make meditation part of your daily routine. Others will tell you the best treatment plan is to dramatically alter your diet and improve your sleep routines. While I am not going to discredit any of those techniques, sometimes when you are at the peak of a stressful event, the idea of making any life changes can seem insurmountable.
Over the years I have tried many different remedies and techniques for using when acute stress and anxiety strike. The greatest success I have found has been with the use of essential oils. Obviously, lifestyle changes are hugely beneficial when dealing with chronic stress, but if you find yourself in a situation where your cortisol levels are rising and you need an immediate fix, these are the three oils I have found to be the most fast acting and effective.
Calm 21 Drops: A blend of essential oils of Jasmine, Vetiver, and Orange
Stress Release Saje: A blend of essential oils of Lavender, Chamomile and Orange
De-Stress 21 Drops: A blend of essential oils of Frankincense, German Chamomile, Lavender, Ylang Ylang
I find blending a combination of these three on my wrists and temples, in addition to taking a couple deep breaths immediately alleviates tension and agitated nerves.
