I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend! Here in Chicago we had some of the best summer thunderstorms of the whole season this weekend!
That being said, it is now officially September, which means it is time for the fall candles to come out (even if the temperatures are still in the 80’s lol). While I intend to fully embrace the last few weeks of summer, it is undeniable that you can already feel the transition to fall that is starting to take place. Kids are back in school and the leaves don’t look quite as vibrant on the trees as they did even a couple weeks ago. Change is in the air.
The days are already getting shorter, so there is nothing better than lighting a nice candle and creating your own light. My two favorite candles for fall are the Milwaukee Candle Company Pumpkin Saffron and the Lafco Foyer Candle which has notes of jasmine, black vanilla and sandalwood (both pictured above). Both candles smell great on their own but even better when lit together. It makes your whole room smell like cozy fall perfection.
Heres to cooler nights and less humid days, and may we always embrace change.
