The past few weeks, ok months have been super busy and as a result my reserves have been running low and I have been feeling the stress.
Rather than accepting a stressed out life as my new reality, I am taking steps to include more rest and de-stressors in my life. Baths and reading before bed are one of the most useful tools I have found to unwind after a hectic day. However, sometimes you can’t wait until the end of the day to de-stress and that is where is my favorite essential oils (pictured above) come into play. I have mentioned essential oils before on the blog but want to talk about them again and encourage anyone going through a stressful time right now to give them a try!
On the left we have my three favorite blends from 21 drops: calm, de-stress, and uplift. You can use all three separately, though I like to use them together for a super dose when stress/anxiety spikes. I apply the oils on my wrists, temples, and sometimes even put a little swipe under my nose. I then focus on breathing for a moment or two and within minutes my body (and mind) starts to relax.
On the right side of the photo we have my other favorite essential oil Sage Stress Release. This is the oil I throw in my purse on days I know will be trying and it is also the oil I use at night before bed on those nights I can’t get my brain to shut off. The Vanille de Molinard perfume pictured above is made from essential oils and is the most pure vanilla I have ever encountered, I wear it everyday and to say I am in love is an understatement. Vanilla to me smells like home and safety, so even though it is not marketed as a stress reliever it always gives me a sense a calm. A completely different scent might conjure positive feelings for you, so find the scent that gives you comfort and then embrace it!
May we all experience good smells and calm vibes as we kick off our week!
