Confession I am not usually the hugest fan of thriller style novels. I normally find the supposed “twists” and “surprises” way to predictable and end up disappointed.
That being said, I typically finish a thriller within about two days because I just want to know how it ends and if my predications are correct. I also like to share my predictions with anyone who will listen, so my apologies to everyone whose reading experience I have spoiled.
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn was a fun summer read that I definitely recommend for a beach vacation or even just a nice weekend where you can dedicate some time to this novel. As for the twists I would say this book has four major twists, two I thought were pretty obvious and the other two came somewhat as a surprise to me so that was pretty fun. I read the book over the course of three days and was actually sad when I got to the end. The book also makes lot’s of references to old films, so if are you a movie buff that will be an added element to your read (I’ll be honest most of the references went over my head)
The Woman in the Window is certainly a very entertaining read and is being made into a movie staring Amy Adams. Read the novel now, so you can critique the movie later… a favorite pastime of mine!
