The balcony is officially open for business!
That jute pouf was originally supposed to be a footrest, but Blair commandeered it pretty quickly, and since it makes her so happy I have just decided to let it slide. Blair can pretty much be found here all day, and only comes in to eat and go to sleep. The balcony is pretty much her favorite spot on earth.
My balcony is pretty much my favorite summer spot too. To me it is the perfect compromise; I get to enjoy the outdoors from the privacy of my home, but don’t have to deal with all the yard work and maintenance of actually having a home with a yard. I love to sit out there and work during the day, read books there at night, and maybe enjoy a summer beverage or two 😉
I also have to brag a little bit, because even though I completely lack a green thumb I put together both of the plant arrangements pictured above myself. I also need to give thanks to Old Town Garden, who told me which plants would do well on my sunny and sometimes breezy balcony. This is just the beginning of summer (technically still spring) so hopefully they hold up! Since I love when things match, and you can see my balcony so clearly from my main living room I stuck with a green, white and yellow pallet so that my plants would look perfect when viewed from both the inside and outside. A coordinated home is a happy home!
If you need me this weekend, you know where to find me!
