Let’s get started, shall we? It couldn’t be easier these days to encounter bad news; TV, newspapers and the internet, they are full of it. And while I think it is important to be aware of all that is occurring in this world I think it is especially important that we are consistently reminded about all of the good that exists.
That is what I intend to do with this blog, serve as your daily reminder that the world is full of beautiful things (thank you Little Mermaid for instilling that faith within me) and the tools to thrive are always within your reach. Yes this blog will focus on the home and what we do inside it, and that is because it is my belief that your home should be your sanctuary and recharging station. If you sleep as many hours per night as I do, home is certainly the place you spend the majority of your time. If you don’t sleep as much as I do, I feel for you and we are going to work on that! It is our task for day two, I promise. With a little extra care and attention, you can transform your home into your greatest tool for tackling life and all that it throws your way.
When you play your cards right (and that is what I am here to help you do!), your home can be: your spa, personal style capsule, best restaurant in town, spiritual epicenter, most fun nightclub, and the place you get the best darn sleep of your life. In case you haven’t noticed yet, sleeping is my absolute favorite. Life is all about change, and hopefully growth, so let’s work together to create a space designed to nurture and support us as we make our way on this incredible adventure we are currently living.
Come along for the journey. I promise it won’t hurt and you might even pick up some knowledge along the way.
The photo for this post was taken at the Restoration Hardware store in Chicago’s Gold Coast, if you haven’t been already… run don’t walk it is a home design haven!
