I came across this display in the Vintage Market boutique in Mequon, Wisconsin earlier this week and thought this message could serve as a great reminder to us all.
In this season of mass consumption and gift giving it is all too easy to get caught up in the materialism of the holidays and forget about the larger aspirations and dreams we should all be striving towards. While we all may have items we hope to find under the Christmas tree this year, these are not the objectives to which we need to devote our attention.
Instead, reflect upon the deeper goals you have for your life. The end of the year is a great time to reflect on all you have accomplished the past year. It is also the perfect time to start thinking about your aspirations for the New Year ahead. Set your intentions now so that came January 1st you are ready to go!
Change comes about in a series of small and carefully thought out steps (though let’s be honest we don’t always follow them, and that can be a good thing!), so don’t think you have to tackle everything right away. Think not only of the end result but also think of the little things you can do bit by bit to get you to where your heart desires you to be.
Let’s start planning now to make 2018 our best year yet!
