Welcome back and welcome to 2019! After a much needed mini vacation, it’s time to get back to business!
Instead of focusing on a New Years resolution, my intention for the year is to focus on general health and wellbeing.
I have noticed through the years that one of the variables in my life that most directly effects how I am feeling is my sleep. So this year getting the right amount of high quality sleep is going to be a top priority. I think I have finally mastered some great tips for improving sleep and plan to implement them consistently in the New Year.
- Dohm Sleep Machine: This is a game changer, after using this product for years I literally think my body is trained to fall asleep when this machine turns on. I bring it with me everywhere and love this contraption with all of my heart. White noise is a game changer and if you still haven’t jumped on board…. It’s time!
- Soma Sleep Shirt: I recently forgot pajamas on a trip to Florida and picked up this sleep shirt on a whim. It is now the only thing I want to sleep in. The fabric is soo soft, and it is the perfect fit and length. You never get tangled and never wake up with body parts hanging out. This also comes in a million different colors and prints (full disclosure that is an exaggeration, but there are a ton of options!)
- Saje Aroma Fairy: This blend is technically targeted towards children, but I love it so I don’t care. I put it in my diffuser before I go to bed and the scent is so comforting.
And my top tip for good sleep: keep your room cool! If you live in a northern clime, this is the time to reduce your energy bill and take advantage of the cooler temps. A cool room is essential to high quality uninterrupted sleep. When my room is in the mid 60’s I find myself sleeping through the night and actually waking feeling rested (a miracle!). Give it a try and you won’t regret it!
2019, is going to be the year of your best sleep yet!
