In the winter months I tend to read a lot! Normally I just share books on here that I absolutely love. However, I thought it might be fun to share all of the books I have read lately. The good and the bad. Here we go!
Maybe You Should Talk To Someone by Lori Gottlieb – I loved this book! It is non-fiction but has a cohesive story line that carries all the way through. This is the memoir of a therapist and her experiences both treating and attending therapy. If you are open to introspection, you will get a lot out of this read. I highly recommend it!
The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker – This book was very entertaining. It is billed as a thriller (so I don’t want to say too much and give anything away)… but I personally wasn’t surprised by any of the “twists.” I would describe this book as the equivalent of a Blockbuster movie, thoroughly enjoyable and you walk away satisfied.
Winter Cottage by Mary Ellen Taylor – A young woman, who doesn’t know who her father is, inherits a manor home in a town she has never heard of before. I spent the first 50 pages convinced that I had already read this book. So, I think I can just leave it at that. It was free on Amazon, and has great reviews, but I personally would skip it.
Rule of One Ashley and Leslie Saunders – A dystopian teen novel. Not sure how this ended up on my Kindle as that is not my favorite genre. It is another free on Amazon read (maybe I should learn my lesson). Pretty predictable, but on the plus side a very quick read!
Welp, gotta go run and get some more reading done! I hope this was a tad helpful for anyone looking for book suggestions.
