Today on the blog we are going to look at different decorative configurations for the same shelf. The recurring element between all three arrangements, is the use of stacked coffee table books to really elevate the style (did you catch what I did there?). The whole point of the post today is to show how creative you can get with any space in your home. This will also hopefully inspire you to move things around in your own home. For a house in harmony is never stagnate, but a constantly evolving reflection of its inhabitants.
Look one (pictured at top) is the option with the most mixed materials and textures (yes that gardenia came off of a Chanel package, it is called repurposing and is good for the environment!). This shelf is also a good example of how to incorporate something useful (Nest Reed Diffuser) in a stylish manner into your décor. We all want our home to smell good, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to suffer looking at unsightly glade plug-ins (no thank you). A home that looks and smells good is always a good combination.
Look two (above) has the perfect mix of natural elements and a touch of glam (always my favorite combo). The Selenite bundle (available at Classic Remix in Chicago) not only looks super chic, but Selenite is also a great crystal to keep around for its healing properties. Selenite helps keep energy flowing and is a positive stone to have around your house.
Look three (above). The Crystal Cluster Box by Eduardo Garza makes such a statement that it truly deserves to be the featured item in this display. Keeping the books underneath very neutral and letting the piece speak for itself creates a simple yet elegantly styled shelf.
So what do you think? Which “shelfie” is your favorite?
