Just because your formal education may be over, or you are on a hiatus, that doesn’t mean you ever officially stop learning. I for one am always-seeking knowledge and my medium of choice: books. I do love a good historical fiction novel, which I always read with Wikipedia close by so I can fact check (yup, I am that person haha). However, some of the greatest nuggets of knowledge I have picked up in my postgraduate readings have come from non-fiction works.
I recently finished Gabrielle Bernstein’s latest non-fiction book pictured above The Universe Has Your Back. This is a very accessible read and it would be hard to walk away from this book without finding something within these pages that resonates with you. This book is especially great for anyone looking to live a life filled with light and love (aren’t we all?). Perhaps my favorite lesson from the book is the following: “Obstacles are Detours in the right direction” (The Universe Has Your Back, by Gabrielle Bernstein p. 88-92).
I don’t know how you feel about Mondays, but for me Monday is the one day of the week that always seems to be filled with the most “obstacles.” So let that lesson serve as a reminder on this, rainy in the Midwest, Monday. Should any unexpected hurdles arise today (or any day for that matter), instead of getting frustrated and upset, try to see the learning experience that is being presented. Shift your focus away from what is going wrong, and try to see where the universe might be pointing you towards what is right. It’s all about your perspective, so why not approach things from a more positive viewpoint!
