Spring releases across the board are my favorite and the new scents that are released this time of year are no exception. Spring scents tend to be light and cheery, which is something I think we should embrace year round!
When I heard about the new Jo Malone English Fields collection I was immediately intrigued. Jo Malone is one of the few fragrance brands that I consider a go to. I love that the scents never smell synthetic and they never induce a headache. The scents are also designed to be layered, which is my favorite way to way to wear fragrance anyway so its great to find a brand that designs scents specifically for that purpose.
The limited edition English Fields collection encompasses 5 fragrances that range in scent profile from green to gourmand. I had an opportunity to smell the collection earlier this week and must say all of these fragrances are totally unique and quite unlike anything I have encountered before. I was most drawn to the two scents in the collection that were the perfect mix of floral and gourmand. The Poppy and Barley (pictured above) is a light floral scent that to me is the embodiment of spring. Upon spraying on my wrists I was immediately transported to a Swedish field, on a sunny day, where I was sipping on some pear cider without a care in the world. I love any scent that can take me a sensory vacation from the comfort of my home. My other favorite from the collection is the Primrose and Rye cologne. This scent immediately transported me back to my childhood and a deep sense of security. No surprise the base note on this scent is vanilla, a scent that will always draw me in and I find to be very calming. While I love both scents on their own, wearing them together is absolutely divine. I have heard all of the fragrances are selling quickly, so if this collection sounds at all intriguing you might want to check them out this weekend at any location where Jo Malone is sold!
Have a safe and perfectly scented weekend; see you back here on Monday!
