Need some ideas for weekend plans? Game night is one of the best ways to socialize during these colder winter months.
It is a great event because you get to socialize in the comfort of home, which always feels more relaxed than outtings in public. Dress can be casual and comfortable (warm sweaters and leggings, yes please), and the event itself can be as informal or organized as you like. If you and your friends love intense tournaments, go for it. I personally prefer games that are fun, hopefully make you laugh, and no one gets mad each other.
Two of my favorite games at the moment are Secret Hitler and Codenames, both games can be played with big groups so they are perfect for a night with friends. Secret Hitler is all about espionage and deception, and Codenames is all about trying to make yourself as clear as possible… so yes the strategy of both games could not be any more opposite. What makes them so fun though, is that both games have an individual and also a team aspect to them. They also are competitive enough for those who thrive on that adrenaline, but can also be relaxed and chill for the more social players.
Pair the games with some snacks, either healthy or indulgent depending upon how you are feeling these days and get ready for a night of fun and laughter with friends!
This is not an ad, just two games I thoroughly enjoy and play regularly.
