Do you ever walk into a space and immediately feel design inspiration??
That is exactly how I felt earlier this week when I walked to into Aba in the West Loop. The picture above doesn’t do the space justice the interior decor is absolutely amazing and everything about the space has been designed to perfection. I absolutely love the indoor trees (when you live in a city you will take all the nature you can get). Every last detail from the lighting fixtures to the raw wood accents work together seamlessly to create a space that I never wanted to leave. It also didn’t hurt that the evening I dined at Aba was a beautiful summer night and the whole restaurant opens up to a an outdoor rooftop (where we were lucky enough to be seated).
As for the food itself, the restaurant serves small plate Mediterranean, which is probably my favorite combo in the world. We tried several dishes I had never even heard of before and they were all delicious! For my Chicago readers Aba is the sister restaurant to Ema in River North which is another personal favorite.
I left feeling full and also creatively inspired, you can’t beat that!
