I was playing around with my camera (ok, iphone, I like to be honest) trying to get a good snap of my current coffee table layout when I snagged this picture.
I love how my camera captured the reflection of light in the bottom left corner. I always love a nice bright spot. However, my favorite part of this picture is that it allows me to look at things from a totally different perspective. My coffee table is in my line of vision countless times a day, yet never before have I taken the time to view even a section of it from directly above.
Since I love to search for a greater meaning behind every observation (it’s a hobby… or maybe an unbreakable habit lol). I took this moment of reflection to remember the importance of never getting so caught up in your own world view, you forget to see things from a different perspective. Even the items in your home that you have probably walked past so many times they barely even register in your conscience thoughts, can look completely fresh and different when viewed from a different perspective.
Translated to a real world application: make the effort to see things from a perspective you might not have considered. Our minds have an incredible ability for expansion of thought; all you have to do is open yourself up to the possibility.
