Is anyone else feeling like this is the calm before the storm? Like a large number of Americans I will be boarding a plane tomorrow (busiest travel day of the year *insert unenthusiastic woo).
However, whether or not you are traveling near or far this week or get to stay home (I am super jealous) take some time today for a moment of repose. As wonderful as the holiday season is, everyone is under pressure to make the most of it, and you know what, that can be down right exhausting.
It may the be the most wonderful time of year and all that jazz, but remember your body still needs some down time so don’t get so caught up in all of the holiday cheer that you forget to pay attention to its needs as well.
Before I start panic packing at midnight, it’s a tradition I just can’t seem to break, I am going to take some time today to recharge my batteries. This will probably happen in the form of a brisk walk outside and maybe if I am feeling super motivated a short meditation. However, use whatever tool works best for you. Just give yourself a moment today to take a breather. The holiday marathon is approaching and you want to give your body every chance it has to stay healthy and balanced so you can truly enjoy all that the season has to offer!
